Conveniently located near the Historic Oregon Trail and Scottsbluff National Monument, The Mixing Bowl is a highly community focused establishment. Their community bulletin board is a great resource for staying connected and up to date on what's happening in the Gering and Scottsbluff areas. The Mixing Bowl takes an active role in contributing to and supporting their community. Their offering of gluten-free options is a thoughtful gesture that is hard to find. It can be difficult to find a place that has accommodated dietary restrictions. And of course, having the best coffee ever is a plus.. its seriously the BEST. They even have the convenience of a drive-through window. The staff were friendly, patient and took time to answer our questions. The Mixing Bowl also carries a variety of local products for purchase. If you are in the area, and want a coffee, treat, smoothie, meal or more, you've got to check out The Mixing Bowl.

Great food, great staff & great vibes! Reminds you of the small cafe you grew up going to as a kid where everyone knew your name. Matcha and food were amazing and you can drive-thru!

Excellent food - especially the Jackson Burger! Glad to find a place with healthy alternatives amongst the local diners. The service was terrific and the food came out fast. Highly recommend if you’re a local or just passing through.

You absolutely MUST stop here! This is the best hidden gem of a cafe/bakery there is. The atmosphere is great, the inside and outside are clean and tidy & the food is amazing. I went in and ordered pastries/desserts from their display case and everything I ordered was perfection! I ordered several so I could share with my 95 year old grandma. Becca was helping me. She was above and beyond friendly, provided me with a cutting board and packaging so everything would travel well - I was super impressed. I also visited with one of the owners and he was extremely friendly and helpful. I went back the next day and had an equally positive experience. Bottom line - if you’re within 100 miles of this place - the drive is worth it! It makes my top 10 list for sure! *** Had to add one more edit! I purchased several gluten free items for my sister. She said they were all amazing & she would highly recommend anything GF! (This comes from someone who has been GF for over a decade & has tried TONS of places)!

What a neat small town restaurant! This is a go to place for food, lattes, and even apparel! Our waitress Michelle was top notch...request her the next time you go in! The nutcracker latte was delish! The design just makes it that much more special! And we couldn’t forget to take a picture with their apparel! you don’t get much more small town, friendly, and excellent food and service than the mixing bowl!

We just finished eating. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and creative! So many new ideas for coffee and dishes you'd never expect! Plus they knew how to take care of someone who has a gluten allergy and even made gluten-free French toast!

Wow- what a tasty surprise. While passing through the area we decided to try this local restaurant and were so happy we did. Great service and lots of homemade options with breakfast served throughout the day. They also offer drive through service. Excellent baked goods. The honey cinnamon latte was the best latte I've had in several states. My husband's bagel lox sandwich was great to look at and equally delicious.
